french toast

i thought everyone knew how to make french toast, but after a friend told me should could never make them without getting them soggy, i decided to post this.

okay, first things first: french toast is so much better when made with homemade bread. seriously. however, you can still use boughton bread. is that a real word? or is it a word my family made up? don't know.

ah! sorry-- i blab a lot.

put your electric fry pan on 350. in a bowl- wisk two eggs with a little bit (like a tablespoon or two) of milk, like a tsp. of vanilla, and a couple shakes of salt. after it's nice and wisked, pour onto a plate. now here's the important part: coat each side of the bread in the egg mixture as quickly as possible. pick off any of those nasty-eggy-clumpy things off. you know what i mean. throw in the fry pan and cook till it looks tasty. put on plate, sprinkle with cinnamon, and spread that butter on. top with syrup of course! sticky yummy yummy!

um-- i think this recipe makes about 6 pieces? i don't know-- maybe one of these days i'll pay more attention.
